We're a small, independent, reader-funded review site. We buy the products we cover, live with them for at least 14 days, and write down what we actually found — good and bad.
Most "best of" lists are written without ever touching the product.
Samori Systems started because we were tired of review pages that reshuffle a manufacturer's own spec sheet and call it independent testing. We wanted a place that says plainly what a product is good at, where it falls short, and who it actually suits — before you spend the money.
We're not a large team, and we don't pretend to review everything. What we do cover, we try to cover honestly: real units, real use, and a write-up that would still be useful to us if we hadn't been the ones who wrote it.
A short list of rules we hold ourselves to.
No paid placements
Nobody can pay to move up a ranking or get featured on this site. Every recommendation reflects what we found during testing, not who bought a slot.
No copy-pasted specs as reviews
We cross-check every figure we publish against the manufacturer's own listing, and we say clearly when we haven't run our own hands-on test yet.
No hiding the trade-offs
Every product page has a "not so good" list as well as a "good" one. If something's mediocre, we'd rather you hear it from us than find out after buying.

Shortlist
We start from what UK readers are actually searching for and buying, not what's trending in a press release.
Buy it
Where possible, we buy the unit ourselves rather than accepting a free review sample from the manufacturer.
Live with it
At least 14 days of ordinary, everyday use before we write a word — not a single unboxing session.
Write it down
Specs cross-checked, good and bad listed separately, and the page updated if anything changes later.
